Hello Autumn

Hello Autumn, our friend. We, of the Texas Hill Country, are happy to see you. It was an especially rough Summer! Many of our friends and neighbors were impacted by the severe flooding; lives and homes were lost. Our thoughts and prayers continue to go out to all as they continue the recovery and healing process.

Now that cooler weather is finally here, it’s time to get out and enjoy the outdoors again. One big project for Fall is getting your garden started. This is the time to get bulbs in the ground and seeds planted. The work done now will help ensure a beautiful garden in the Spring.

Once you have finished the garden, it is time to tackle that room in your home that has been begging for a makeover; maybe the dining room or guest bedroom. A bright, colorful new rug is always a good start. Once you have decided upon the design and color scheme of the rug, a coordinating wall paint color can be selected. When deciding on new furnishings for the room, there are so many possible directions to go. A popular choice in today’s world is finding just the right antique piece, whether it be a dining table and chairs or a chest of drawers. Give it new life with a wood refinishing or an amazing pop of color with the Amy Howard paint.

An excellent finishing touch for any room in your home is the addition of a fragrant room scent. There is an amazing selection of pleasing fragrances available on the market today, especially the Fall scents such as Rose Hips, Frasier Fir, and Heirloom Pumpkin. These come in many forms as in candles, potpourri, and room sprays. There are wonderful scented oil diffusers by Jardin de Rochelle that add beauty to your room as well.

The arrival of Autumn for many of us marks a period of changes. Embrace the season and the changes that come with it. Enjoy each day to its fullest.
